~"Recounts and Recollections" by From Autumn to Ashes

Well four and a half months since my last journal isn't TOO bad, right? It's been interesting, to say the least. But I felt that it was time to touch base with deviantart again.

So, as a senior in high school, I'm currently in 6 classes (4 of which are art classes). And considering the fact that I plan to go to an art college, I'm working on potential portfolio pieces quite a bit nowadays. I recently uploaded a couple of my less hands-on pieces, but there are more in the works.

Hopefully I'll have some more good stuff submitted here by the end of the semester. Also, I'm in a creative writing class, so I may occasionally post some pieces that I work on there (such as my latest submission).

Right now, a lot of my concern is deciding which colleges I'm interested in and getting applications filled out and portfolios worked on. Local colleges aside, my top three that I'm interested in are:
~University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA)
~Columbus College of Art and Design (Columbus, OH)
~Savannah College of Art and Design (Savannah, GA)

With any luck, I'll get into at least one of the ones on the list with a good bit of scholarship money x_X

Another project that I've started brainstorming/sketching for is to create a series of pieces based on multiple/all of the songs on From Autumn to Ashes' album "Holding a Wolf by the Ears". The music is just inspiring to me and it sounds like a fun project to end high school with. On another note, though, my roommate and I have come into the possession of a 3' 5'' by 3' 5'' canvas and are trying to think of what we could do with it, so if anyone has any ideas, please feel free to contribute to the brainstorming process. ^^
